Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with soul, gospel music and R&B. Avery Sunshine has performed on Broadway and at festivals in Europe as well as her appearance at the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's real name is Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta she was born in Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical path began at church, where she sang as well as played piano. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on Atlanta's R&B musical scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was Stalk You A house 12 released only in Japan It was later remixed by a variety of producers and has become the mainstay of her live set. The voice of hers was featured on the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. She became the primary pianist for Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her voice she asked Sunshine to be part of the Dreamgirls production at the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention during her four daily performances in 2008 at the Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform at President Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration.
